The Society of Veteran Disability Examiner PAs (SOVDEPA) is a professional medical organization dedicated to providing high-quality care to Veterans receiving disability medical examinations. We strive to expand the number of PAs serving Veterans in this cutting-edge field and raise awareness of unique conditions caused by military service.

The American Academy of PAs (AAPA) recognized SOVDEPA as a special interest group in 2023. SOVDEPA offers educational resources and networking at no-charge*. With the current and future projected shortages of Veteran medical disability examiners, SOVDEPA will continue to advocate for PAs in this field.

*SOVDEPA is run entirely by volunteers with no budget. SOVDEPA does not accept funds nor distributes funds. Furthermore, SOVDEPA does not handle job placement, employment matters, or pay questions.
